We built it because we needed it.
Pucky started inside a small UK software company that needed new business customers but didn't have a sales department.
Where Pucky came from
Pucky started inside a small UK software company. We needed new business customers, but we didn't have a sales department and didn't want to hire one.
So we built a tool to find the right companies, research who runs them and write to each of them personally, a few at a time, every working day. It worked. So we turned it into a product, for every business in the position we were in.
We still use Pucky to find our own customers. When you book a demo, you talk to the people who built it, and we'll show you how we use it day to day.
What we believe about outreach
Cold outreach has a bad name because so much of it is careless: mass mailings to info@ addresses, sent all at once, with no way to opt out. We built Pucky to work the opposite way. A few principles are built into the product:
- Greet people by name. We greet shared inboxes by a director's actual name, because a named greeting reads as personal, not like a mass mailing.
- Focus on established firms. By default we skip businesses less than 12 months old, so you focus on established firms with budgets.
- Never pester. We contact only one company per website domain in each batch, and never the same business twice.
Beyond that, Pucky sends gradually during business hours, checks every address before sending, pauses itself if bounces rise and puts one-click unsubscribe in every email. Read more about how we protect your sender reputation.
Why we think it matters
Plenty of good UK businesses never grow as fast as they could, simply because nobody has time to go and find new customers. Hiring a sales team is a big step, and doing it yourself means stepping away from the work you're good at. Pucky sits in between: the searching, research and careful sending happen every working day, and you step in when someone is interested.
We built it for businesses like ours. If your customers are UK companies and you'd rather spend your time talking to them than finding them, it's for you. See how it works.
Your data stays yours
Every customer business gets its own private, separate database, so your leads and conversations are never mixed with anyone else's. Read our privacy policy for how we handle information on this website.
