Real decision-makers, not info@.

Pucky finds each business's website, collects the addresses published there and matches them to the company's actual directors. Your email lands with the person who can say yes.

Why the person matters more than the company

An email to a generic inbox is easy to ignore. Nobody owns it, so nobody feels they need to reply. An email addressed to the director who runs the business is different: it's personal, it's relevant and it reaches someone with the authority to act.

That's why Pucky doesn't stop at a list of companies. For every business on your list, it works out who actually decides, and how to reach them.

How Pucky finds the right person

  • Directors by name and role. Pucky reads the company's directors from the official Companies House register, so you know who runs the business before you write a word.
  • The company's own website. Pucky finds each business's website and checks it belongs to that company.
  • Published contact details. It collects the email addresses the business publishes on its own site and matches them to its directors.
  • A best contact. Where a company has several directors, Pucky highlights the best person to contact.

Junk and wrong addresses filtered out

Websites are full of addresses that look useful but aren't. Pucky filters them out before they waste a send:

  • Other people's addresses. A web designer's address in the footer belongs to the web designer, not your prospect.
  • No-reply addresses. Nobody reads them, so Pucky never writes to them.
  • Addresses that can't receive mail. Before anything is sent, Pucky confirms the inbox exists, so fewer emails bounce and your sender reputation stays healthy.

Shared inboxes, greeted by name

Sometimes the only address a business publishes is a shared one, like info@ or office@. Pucky still greets the email to one of the company's directors by name. A named greeting reads as personal, not like a mass mailing, so it's far more likely to be passed to the right person.

Built in

We greet shared inboxes by a director's actual name, because a named greeting reads as personal, not like a mass mailing.

What you see for each business

Open any company on your list and Pucky shows you what it found in one place:

  • The company. Its name, town and when it was incorporated, straight from the register.
  • Its website. Matched to the company, so you know you're looking at the right business.
  • Its directors. Each one by name and role, with the best contact highlighted.
  • Verified addresses. The ones that passed, and the ones Pucky filtered out and why.

That's the research a salesperson would normally spend an hour on, done before you've written a word. It also means every email you send is addressed to someone real, at a business you chose on purpose.

Why this beats a bought contact list

Bought lists go stale quickly. People change roles, companies close and addresses stop working, and you rarely know where the data came from. Pucky starts from the official register and the business's own website, then checks each address can receive mail before anything is sent. The result is a smaller, more accurate list of people who can actually say yes.

Ready for outreach

Once Pucky has found and verified the right person, you can send them a personal email straight away, or let automatic outreach do it for you every working day.

Questions about finding decision-makers

How does Pucky know who the decision-makers are?

It reads each company's directors from Companies House, the UK's official register, then matches them to the contact details published on the company's own website.

Are the email addresses verified?

Yes. Before anything is sent, Pucky checks that each address can receive mail, and it filters out junk such as no-reply addresses and addresses that belong to someone else, like a web designer.

What if a business only publishes an info@ address?

Pucky still greets the email to one of the company's directors by name, so it reads as personal and is more likely to reach the right person.
