Acceptable use policy

Pucky is built for honest, personal outreach to UK businesses. These rules keep it that way for everyone who uses it, and for the people who receive your emails.

Last updated: 18 October 2026. This policy applies to everyone who uses Pucky, the service run by Mallinson Technology Ltd (“we”, “us”). It sits alongside the agreement you have with us, our website terms and our privacy policy. If you break it, we may pause or close your account.

Use Pucky for business-to-business outreach

  • Businesses only. Use Pucky to contact businesses about products or services that are relevant to them. Don't use it to market to consumers.
  • Follow the law. You're responsible for making sure your outreach complies with the laws that apply to you, including the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
  • Have a genuine reason to get in touch. Only contact businesses your offer is relevant to, and only use contact details for prospecting your own business.

Send honest emails

  • Say who you are. Every email must make clear who it's from. Don't impersonate another person or organisation.
  • No misleading content. Subject lines and messages must not be deceptive, and must not pretend to be a reply to an earlier conversation that never happened.
  • Nothing harmful. Don't send phishing, malware, links to malicious sites, or anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful or obscene.

Respect people who say no

Every email Pucky sends includes one-click unsubscribe, and people who opt out or complain are never emailed again. Don't try to contact them another way through Pucky, remove the unsubscribe link, or re-add people who have opted out.

Don't get round the safeguards

Pucky's sending limits, warm-up, address checks and automatic safety brakes protect your reputation and other customers'. Don't try to bypass, disable or overload them, and don't use multiple accounts to exceed your plan's limits.

Keep the service and its data safe

  • Your seats are for your team. Don't share logins outside your organisation or go beyond the seats on your plan.
  • Don't resell the data. Contact details found through Pucky are for your own prospecting. Don't sell, publish or pass them on as a list.
  • Don't misuse the platform. No scraping, reverse engineering, probing for vulnerabilities, or interfering with other customers' use of Pucky.

If something goes wrong

If we believe an account is breaking this policy, or its outreach is harming deliverability for others, we may pause sending while we look into it, and we'll tell you why. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to the account being closed.

To report misuse of Pucky, or an email you think broke these rules, email contactus@pucky.co.uk.
